The Uncertain Future of Corporate HQs

The subject of where we work in terms of place and location is a more relevant topic than ever before. For a long time, the topic of where to site corporate facilities has been growing in strategic importance. During the Covid-19 outbreak, businesses were obliged to quickly make a change and allow employees to work from home, resulting in a significant shift in employee location. Following the Covid-19 outbreak, businesses are now faced with deciding whether positions may continue to be worked remotely from home, and if it is even necessary to pay for an office space at all. While some people enjoy going to work on a daily basis, others preferably would choose to work from home because of the convenience and flexibility it provides.(Florida, 2021)

Personally, I believe that most of us would prefer a combination of physical meetings and individual work at a distance, but there is little doubt that extreme flexibility will become the standard in working life even after the pandemic in combination with the changing norms globally. The major treasure here is the ability to choose and alternate working ways.
